Fahim Hamid Ali is a Canadian filmmaker and artist who showcases the diverse Canadian experience. He started his career as a painter and calligraphy artist, exhibiting his work worldwide, including at the Vatican, Paris, and London. Fahim’s dedication to uncovering important Canadian subjects has resulted in two acclaimed films, Magical Milton and Maple Morning, screened at the Toronto International Film Festival. Fahim’s signature style includes corded lines and stain glass effects on canvas, often depicting wildlife, thematic paintings, and the French Revolution. His art has been exhibited globally, including at an Embassy of Pakistan event in Paris. Fahim’s interior designing is also highly sought after. He celebrates Canadian culture and beauty through his work, making him a respected figure in the Canadian artistic community.

Valerie Augustine is a co-producer of the upcoming film “Destination Wedding” and a respected businesswoman. She is the founder and CEO of Lite It Up Candles, Body & Spa, which offers handmade body and spa products. Valerie’s entrepreneurial skills have grown her business to become a well-known brand, with products sold in over 40 stores. She is committed to empowering young women and has facilitated workshops and taught candle, soap, and skincare making programs.
NARRATIVE DIRECTOR
A film grad, Ali started his career in television and advertising. He is a documentary filmmaker who has worked on issues such as poverty alleviation, international development and social equity for the last decade. He has collaborated with brands and organizations such as UNDP, Coca Cola, GIZ, Better Cotton Initiative and others to engineer inspiring films and TVCs for social change and progress. Ali has since gone on to teach non-fiction (documentary) filmmaking at various institutes, and today, pursues a career at the intersection of his passions for film, tech, and international development.
SCREENWRITER
Majid Kazmi is a well-known Canadian entrepreneur and writer, recognized for his work in film, marketing, and non-fiction writing. He is the bestselling author of The First Dancer and has written for The Huffington Post, covering topics such as art, design, branding, and personal growth. He is widely recognized for his contribution to the field of marketing, earning him the honour of being named 40overforty in 2021. Kazmi is a diversity and inclusion thought leader, serving on the board of directors for several Canadian non-profit organizations. He previously worked in banking for nearly two decades before venturing into writing and entrepreneurship. Kazmi currently serves as CEO of Stralent Brand Management Inc. and has founded other successful companies such as uGen Group and Valu Ventures Inc. He is also a member of the advisory board for Kotler Impact Inc., the renowned academic research organization in the field of Marketing.

John Best Challinor III is a passionate and highly technical film professional with over 15 years of experience producing film and media content and 12 years of entrepreneurial experience owning companies in Ontario, Canada. From his beginnings in sports photography, working in freelance music production (Beluga Heights Records,Universal Music, Sony BMG), creating music videos for various international artists and now corporate storytelling and documentary filmmaking, John brings with him a wide set of skills that allows him to create quality content with small efficient crews. John is passionate about utilizing the experience, resources, and creativity he has developed over his career to create high level, disruptive projects from start to finish.
VOICE OVER ARTIST
Sheila Walsh is an accomplished voice-over artist and broadcaster/podcaster whose work has been heard worldwide. She was the first female public service and promotional announcer in Major League Baseball, working with the Toronto Blue Jays. Sheila has worked for Toronto radio stations CHUM FM, CHFI, and Newstalk 1010 as a host, news anchor, and entertainment reporter. She has interviewed many celebrities, including Sylvester Stallone, Sandra Oh, Olivia Newton-John, and Martin Short. Sheila has hosted numerous TV programs, including entertainment, lifestyle, travel/leisure, and medical shows that aired across Canada. She holds an MA in Creative Media Practice and was a former professor of journalism, podcasting, and radio at Humber College, where she became the first female Program Coordinator of the Radio Broadcasting Course.
ACTRESS
Nawa Nicole Simon is a Toronto-born performer with extensive experience in theatre, dance, and film. She attended Humber College’s Theatre Performance Program and has performed in various productions, including the Dora-winning play Gas Girls. Nawa has also worked on several projects for young audiences and won an award for her role in the interactive comedy Ruby Skye P.I. She is also an accomplished dancer, choreographer, and movement director, having worked with Afro Caribbean Dance Group, Groupe Des Arts Bassen, and Tarragon Theatre. Nawa recently played Uma in New Harlem’s production of The First Stone in Toronto and will be taking the lead role as Girl in the remount on Ottawa at the Great Canadian Theatre Company.

Joseph Marcell is a British actor and comedian. He is best known for his role as Geoffrey Butler, the butler on the NBC sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air from September 1990 until the show ended in May 1996. He has also appeared in a variety of other television shows and movies, including “EastEnders,” “The Bill,” “Holby City,” “Death in Paradise,” and “Macbeth.” Additionally, Marcell has worked extensively in theater, including productions of Shakespeare plays at the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre in London. Born in Saint Lucia, he moved to the United Kingdom, when he was 9 years old and grew up in Peckham, South London. Marcell currently lives in Banstead, Surrey.

Quinton is a Toronto based actor and performer. His versatile look and ability has seen him perform as a walk-on, supporting or principal actor in various projects over the years. One of his most memorable appearances was as the ‘Dr. of Fine Arts’, in Kent Monkman’s film ‘Casualties of Modernity’ which was part of the Tiff40 Short Cuts Program. Other roles have included Sam Carmichael from the musical Mamma Mia, George H.W. Bush in CNN’s race for the White House, and various other parts in commercials and TV or Streaming Series. In Quinton’s spare time he enjoys getting outside to go paddleboarding in summer or skiing in winter.

Blair Woodward is a Toronto based actress who grew up and trained in Central Florida. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with a music minor from the University of Central Florida before sailing the world working for Princess Cruises. There she met her husband – and her Canadian adventure began. Blair is in love with both the stage and screen. She performed in stage shows such as A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum, South Pacific, Sapientia and The Joy of Sax. The 48 hour film festival production Around the Hole has been honoured with multiple awards across several festivals, and she can been seen in other productions such as A Handmaid’s Tale, Nightmare Alley, music videos for Paul Cafcae and Bad Waitress, and of course, here in Steadfast! She is thrilled this wonderful film is finally getting an opportunity to be released after being delayed, like so many other things, by Covid 19.

Dr. Leanne Foster is an experienced educator and Head of School at Trafalgar Castle School in Whitby, Ontario. She received her Bachelor of Education and Master of Education degrees from OISE at the University of Toronto and holds a Ph.D. in Education from the same institution. Her research focused on the impact of teachers’ perceptions of low-income and minority students on school improvement measures. Leanne is passionate about girls’ education and advocates for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students to achieve their full potential.

Rhonda is the Executive Director of Community Development and Engagement at Trafalgar Castle School. She has played a critical role in the institute’s continued progress over the past decade. A Bachelor of Arts from the University of Guelph, Rhonda has dedicated her career to opening doors and helping build partnerships between the institution, it’s students and the larger community. When the chance to play a role in Jean Augustine’s official documentary came, Rhonda was all in: as a great admirer of Jean and her efforts to advance growth and learning initiatives for girls and women, Rhonda felt that this was a project that was immediately close to her heart.

Nick is a professional session drummer with 10 years of touring experience, having performed at headline shows and festivals across the UK, Europe, Russia, Japan, and Australia. He studied drums at music college before embarking on his global tour, which lasted until 2013. Since then, Nick has transitioned his career to media composition, writing, producing, and mixing music for various forms of media at different levels of production. He specializes in composing for bespoke commercial work, short films, documentaries, and producing for other artists. Nick is also an accomplished programmer and backline technician, with extensive experience building custom wired playback and MIDI redundancy rack systems for bands like Kelis, Wild Beasts, and Charli XCX. He is highly proficient at collating, bouncing, and preparing stems from records for live environments and playback and drum setups.

Wilfred Kanu Jr., also known as Freddy Will, is a Sierra Leonean-American Canadian hip-hop artist, author, and philanthropist. He has published three self-published books, each accompanied by a hip-hop album. Freddy Will was born in Sierra Leone and is the eldest son of Amb. Leeroy Wilfred Kabs Kanu ESQ. He later traveled to Toronto, Canada, to record his debut album and filed for permanent residency there. While living in Toronto, he recorded several additional independent albums, an EP, and authored three books that were self-published by his publishing company, Freddy Will Publishing. Freddy Will is influenced by a range of musicians, including Kool Moe Dee, LL Cool J, and Tupac Shakur, and writers, such as John Grisham, Shakespeare, and Langston Hughes.

Jonathan Oldham is a talented voice actor hailing from Melbourne, Australia. He has lent his voice to a variety of projects, including the video game Mad Max, where he voiced the character of Griffa. He has also provided his voice in two episodes of the popular television series Regular Show. Oldham moved to Hollywood, California to pursue his career in voice acting and has since become known for his work in films such as Ghost Rider (2007), NCIS: Los Angeles (2009), and Hello Herman (2012). In addition to his work in film, Oldham has also provided voiceovers for various characters in the video game Diablo 3. He currently resides in Hollywood and is one of two voice over artists who have lent their voices to Jean Augustine’s story in Steadfast.

Stephanie is dedicated to her craft and continues to hone her skills as an actress. Marsha’s passion for art and design started at an early age with her first box of crayons. She has since been fueled by creativity and a love for exploring the world of art. Marsha was the first recipient of the Excellence in Production Design and Scenography Award at Ryerson University, which further solidified her talent and dedication. She is known for her energy, enthusiasm, and cooperative nature, which has made her an active member of the Art Department with the Directors Guild of Canada. Over the years, Marsha has worked on various projects, including independent short films, Canadian Film Centre productions, DGC union TV shows, and feature films. Currently, she works as an Assistant Art Director/Art Department Coordinator and has an insatiable appetite for production design. Marsha’s multidisciplinary background has helped her become a creative problem-solver, three-dimensionally minded, and has allowed her to express her creativity to the fullest.

Sodienye Waboso Amajor is a Dora nominated, multidisciplinary, Nigerian/Canadian artiste and educator who lives and works in Ontario. Dienye has played roles such as Puck in Shakespeare in Action’s adaptation of “A Midsummer Nights Dream” and Memory in Theatre Directs “Binti’s Journey”. Sodienye is a mother of two boys and an avid believer in learning through creativity and an advocate for the importance of Early years education through an exposure to the arts and Theatre. She is currently pursuing her MA in Theatre and Performance studies at York University.

Melissa Bartrem is a passionate dancer, choreographer, educator, and dance scholar. Her performance credits include stage, film, television, and live events. Melissa has had the opportunity to collaborate with various international arts organizations in England, South Africa, USA, Portugal, Brazil, and China in addition to presenting her in-practice research at the 54th World Congress in Dance Research in Athens, Greece. Melissa continues to work in the film and television industry in Toronto, as both an actor and dance professional. She can be seen in various projects, most recently American Mystery and the hit TV series Paranormal 911.
